About Borwick Wealth Management

Our Mission

At Borwick Wealth Management, our mission is to help clients achieve their best financial positions in the short and long term. We want to have a positive impact on our client’s lives by helping them achieve their goals and provide peace of mind. We do this by providing a holistic financial plan and integrated approach to financial planning, striving to develop solutions tailored for your specific needs. We spend a significant amount of time trying to understand what you want to accomplish in life. We then develop a sensible plan which coordinates and unifies your financial pillars to function in the most efficient manner. We help you to obtain your goals with the least amount of risk.

Our Values

  1. Driven: They have a clear purpose to assist clients and help them achieve their objectives. Exceptional advisors are committed to delivering outstanding work and believe that success will follow by doing right by their clients.
  2. Compassionate: They understand that serving clients effectively requires genuine connection. To provide meaningful support, advisors must adopt the client's perspective, empathizing with their priorities and concerns.
  3. Genuine: They share their true selves with clients. Effective advisors foster deeper connections by openly sharing their personal stories, building trust and encouraging open communication through transparency and vulnerability.
  4. Inquisitive: They continually seek the best solutions for clients. Great advisors are dedicated to lifelong learning, always open to new ideas, and committed to refining their technical skills and knowledge.
  5. Insightful: They strive to understand what truly matters to their clients. Engaged advisors excel in the personal aspect of advice, asking insightful questions to grasp clients' views on money and life before developing a plan.
  6. Attentive: They listen more than they speak. Active listening encourages clients to share their deeper thoughts, and often, an advisor's best response is a question that stimulates creative thinking and self-discovery.
  7. Dedicated: Their strong desire to benefit others fuels continuous improvement. A deep commitment to doing right by clients motivates great advisors to refine their skills and ultimately enhance the value they provide.
  8. Strategic: They manage their practice as a business and plan for future growth. Advisors can better serve clients when they run successful firms, embodying the financial responsibility they advocate for their clients.
  9. Candid: They set realistic expectations about what can be controlled and likely outcomes. While the best advice may not always be easy to hear, great advisors communicate essential truths about money and investing to set realistic wealth expectations.
  10. Steady: They remain composed and avoid impulsive actions driven by market fluctuations or media messages.

Our Process

Our Client Discovery Journey

Our initial focus is understanding you and your priorities. We begin by listening – in person, over video call, or via a detailed questionnaire. Our goal is to gather relevant information to help you achieve your objectives, whether you're an individual or a business. Addressing your most pressing concerns is our top priority.

Finding the Right Fit

Our first meetings, typically two, are obligation-free. They help us determine if we're a good match. If we decide to work together, that's great. If not, there's no harm done, and perhaps we'll part as new friends.

A Journey, Not a Sprint

Our approach to financial planning is unique and might not be for everyone. We meet new clients 6-8 times in the first year, tackling one financial topic at a time. This modular approach helps you digest information easily, builds trust, and reinforces the idea that financial planning is a process, not an event.

Investments: Steady and Strategic

While investments are crucial, we're not hasty about making changes. Before advising on your portfolio, we need to understand your financial situation deeply – income, cash flow needs, assets, liabilities, goals, family situation, risk tolerance, and capacity. We analyze your current portfolio, educate you about it, and use that as a starting point for any changes. Unless urgent, we typically start making changes in our third or fourth meeting. If this pace doesn't suit you, we might not be the best fit.
